Why the sudden sale?

My husband just got a job offer over the weekend and we will be moving! Since I really don't want to risk my perfumes breaking or spilling in the moving vans, I'm trying to get rid of them before we go! 

How do I get the extra discount code?

I will have 3 organizations to choose from this year. Purchase the one you want along with the amount you wish to donate. This will automatically apply a discount to your cart for any 30ml or 50ml perfume. This discount stacks on the sale already active for Hoshi Gatothon!

Note: I am trying to fix this so that you can get the discount on all items with just one donation, but Shopify doesn't offer this. So for now, you have to add the "I donated" item for every additional product not covered by the initial donation

Organizations:

• Point of Pride - Provides gender affirming care grants to trans people in the United States and beyond!
  • With gender affirming care access constantly under attack, I wanted to support an organization that directly funds gender affirming care for those who cannot afford it. They also support trans people outside of the US in over 100 countries!
• The Trevor Project - Provides education, advocacy, crisis support, and research that aids the LGBTQ+ community. (Donations are being quadrupled during June, so I'll make sure to send out before that ends). 
  • I wanted to support an organization that supports the mental wellness of our community during a time of extreme hate, prejudicial legislation, and violent extremism. The Trevor Project has not only been doing this for decades, but is a large organization with strong resources. I've personally seen many LGBTQ people express suicidal thoughts during this administration and I want to support any organization that will help as many of us as possible!
• Southern Poverty Law Center - Fights not only legislation that discriminates against the LGBTQ+ community but also POC. Not only do they fight hate with legal action, but with education and advocacy efforts like their "hatewatch" system.
  • I wanted to include a legal advocacy organization with a strong reputation for fighting - and winning - cases that affect us all. Since June is also Juneteenth, I felt it important to support an organization that also fights racism and discrimination. SPLC has prioritized anti-racist advocacy and has a concrete goal to end white supremacy.

Accountability

Donation receipts will be posted as they are made on this page and on my Tiktok (Hoshi_Gato). This sale might extend beyond June depending on when we can get our house sold and whether or not we sell out early. I will make a donation at the end of June to take advantage of the donation matching. This donation may be made earlier if I sell out completely in June. I will also donate once more before the shop closes (temporarily!) if we don't sell out by July.

Will the discounts get bigger?

If I can't sell all of my perfumes quickly the discounts will get bigger! Additionally the terms of the deal might change. I might offer larger discounts for donations, for example. The reason to buy if you have a specific perfume in mind is so that we don't run out of the one you want! I've been stopping production for the last month to prepare for the possibility of moving so some perfumes are low stock.

How long will you be closed?

It depends! My husband's new job will tell us when they want the start date to be. It could be either 6 or 8 weeks from now. I will close down the shop 1-2 weeks before that (depending on remaining stock and how busy we get preparing for the move). After that, it really depends on how quickly we can find a house, move in, and then how quickly I can make more perfumes! Hopefully, not more than 2 months.

Sample Set Donations + Update!

Since our sale went so well, I'm extending the special! Now, $5 from every Sample set purchased in June will be donated and split amongst these three charities. Hoshi Gato will also be donating $100 to each charity!
