Description

This is a strawberry perfume like no other. It takes the typically sweet and bright note of a strawberry and turns it on its head. The strawberry note in this perfume is a bit dark and boozy, alluding to their "death". As the perfume ages and moves towards the base notes, it retains its mysterious aura. The bourbon vetiver, patchoui, oakmoss, and sandalwood are perfectly balanced with jasmine, ylang ylang, and rose. It is truly one of a kind.

Jasmine grandiflorum , sweet damask rose, ylang ylang

Base:

Bourbon vetiver, sandalwood, oakmoss, patchouli

Death of a Strawberry: unpicked strawberry in the field

Fermented bitter strawberry! Interesting and complex, also smells like I expected (positive). I didn’t notice too much evolution, but the scent is EXACTLY what’s being sold to you by description. Strawberry left unpicked in the field for too long, the end of summer. Bitter, almost a breakup fragrance to me. 9+ hours.

One of the best strawberry notes ever

Strawberry is very difficult to nail without coming off too synthetic. This one is beautifully done. The scent opens bright, fresh and green with strawberry and a little rose peaking through. As it dries the whole scent deepens. There’s some spiciness, added in. The strawberry gets that sweeter overripe quality, that real strawberries experience before they die. It’s a great scent. Highly recommend.

Not for me

I really wanted to like it but the dry down was more bitter than sweet! I can appreciate the artistry but the notes just didn’t set well with my chemistry.

Nasty and Sweet

Smelt like what a rotting strawberry with lots of juice and mold on it. Tried to take deep breaths to get all the notes and it worked, but I don’t want to always work that hard to smell the complexity of my perfume. Tried to love but just can’t get behind it. Purchase in a 6 pack kit.
